Dr. Shalini Kumari is a dedicated educator and researcher with a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. Her doctoral research, focused on “Decision Models for Prediction of Carbon Emissions and Deployment of Carbon Capture Technologies in the Indian Power Sector.” In her work she delved into the complexities of sustainable business development within the context of carbon emission reduction. Having laid a solid academic foundation, Dr. Kumari earned her B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Banasthali University and Diploma in Medical Image Processing showcasing her interdisciplinary approach to learning. Dr. Kumari has contributed significantly to the academic community through her research publications in ABDC ‘A’ category. In addition to her research endeavours, Dr. Kumari actively participates in national and international conferences. Beyond her academic pursuits, Dr. Kumari serves in various administrative and scholarly capacities. As a reviewer for the Annals of Operation Research (ABDC-A) and Energy and Environment (ABDC -B), she contributes to the advancement of academic knowledge. Dr. Kumari brings a wealth of practical experience to her academic roles. Prior to joining Alliance University, Bangalore, as an Assistant Professor she served as the Technical Head in Production & Quality Control at Minerals & Engineers Syndicate. This hands-on experience complements her academic expertise, enriching the learning experience for her students.
Recognizing her achievements, Dr. Kumari has received awards such as the Best Presentation Award at the International Conference on Energy and Infrastructure Management in February 2020. She is also certified in Business and Operations Analytics from NITIE Mumbai and has actively participated in initiatives supporting environmental sustainability.
