Dr. Nisha Mary Thomas earned her Ph.D. in Finance from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2019. Her primary research interests lie in the areas of FinTech, alternative financing, and equity market comovement. Dr. Nisha has published in prestigious academic journals, including the International Journal of Bank Marketing (ABDC-A), Electronic Markets (ABDC-A), International Review of Economics and Finance (ABDC-A), and Thunderbird International Business Review (ABDC-B), among others. She has been recognized with several awards for her research, including the Best Paper Award at the International Conference in REVA University (2024), Woxsen University Doctoral Consortium (2022), the AGBA 16th World Conference (IIT Delhi, 2019), and the 2nd International Conference on Evidence-Based Management (BITS Pilani, 2017).

Dr. Nisha has also received research grants from AIMS ARIF (2023) and IMA (2021) for projects focusing on contemporary issues such as gamification-driven financial literacy and the role of FinTechs in SME financing. In 2024, she was honoured with the Teachers’ Day Award in the Research Category by the Indian Society for Training and Development.

In her teaching, Dr. Nisha is committed to creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment. She teaches courses in corporate finance, investment analysis, and financial markets, with a focus on equipping students with the analytical tools and critical thinking skills necessary to navigate the complexities of today’s financial landscape.
