BLOOD DONATION

The Blood Donation Drive 2023 was conducted by the Social Responsibility Committee on July 31st, celebrating the birthday of Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, the beloved founder of Symbiosis Society. The idea behind the theme for this year, The Red Pledge’, was to encourage people to commit themselves to the selfless and kind act of donating blood.

The day commenced with the captivating performance Nukkad Natak, presented by Jzaa, the Dramatics Club of SIBM B. Through their compelling performance, they were successful in busting myths, raising awareness about the importance of donating blood, and motivating people to partake in the drive.

Owing to these combined efforts, the event was a huge success with a footfall of 180+ volunteers and a collection of 157 units of blood. The volunteers, which included faculty, staff, and students were then presented with certificates and mementos acknowledging their courageous deed.

With respect to blood units collected, SIBM B was the second-highest among all the Symbiosis campuses that conducted the drive on the same day.
